Halloween Insipiration

Halloween's coming up. I need to make something for my workmates both at DL & DCA.

Probably gonna end up being 2 things:

1) BACON BROWNIE GRAVEYARD

Mine's probably not going to look like this. xP

2) CANDY CORN CUPCAKES

I think I can make these ... maybe. Possibly add bacon. xP
Now to gather ingredients & figure out who to give what to. I think I'll sleep on it. G'nite & keep on eating y'all! ^_^;;

BELLY BOMBZ ARE DA BOMB.

I know it's been a while since I've posted pretty much ANYTHING, but hey ... that's life.

But when something titillates my taste buds SO much... to the point where I literally said out loud in my car "I need to tell the interwebz about this" ... I had to write a blog about it.

As I have mentioned in the past, there's a weekly food truck gathering every Wednesday night at the Babies-R-Us parking lot in Cerritos, CA. I try to attend when I can, but as many of you know working for the Mouse sometimes limits my free time.

So today (Wednesday) I had my one day off for the week, so I decided to head to the gathering & try something new (like I usually try to do when I go to a food truck gathering).

I saw the Belly Bombz truck there, and from people I know, I had heard about it. So I figured it was my chance to try out their stuff & make an opinion for myself.

On their menu, they had a 2 slider deal for $8. They only have one kind of slider: pork belly. Not that I was complaining or anything.

The description of the pork belly was as follows, "3 Day brine, 5 hour braise, crisped up on the grill. Served in our house made donut fried "HOBBANG" bun, slaw & mom's recipe sauce." My mouth immediately started drooling, so I knew I had made a good decision in wanting to try those sliders.

The wait was relatively quick, and I was off to my car to sit & enjoy my sliders.

OMG. FLAVOR EXPLOSION. It was SO GOOD. Seriously. The pork belly was crispy & tender... the bun was crunchy... the slaw was fresh & crisp... the sauce had awesome sesame flavor & had decent acidity to counter the fat of the belly. WOW WOW WOW.

I ate the first one before I could take a picture ... so I only took a picture of my 2nd slider. xP

HOLY DELICIOUSNESS BATMAN!!!

Apparently the truck also has Asian fusion chicken wings too, but I was overwhelmed by the yummy flavorness that high-fived my taste buds. I guess it's just an excuse for me to go back & try their truck again.

So... pretty much this whole blog is telling you to EAT THE BELLY BOMBZ BOMB @$$ PORK BELLY SLIDERS BECAUSE THEY TASTE SO FREAKING GOOD!!!

Thank you & have a nice day! :)

 ... & keep eating y'all! ^_^;;
